K Sue Marsh, Director of Planning

As Director of Planning and a trusted advisor for more than 26 years, Sue’s expertise lies in developing tactical plans that illustrate particular strategies for reducing taxes and enhancing wealth transfer.  Sue integrates financial and estate planning instruments into comprehensive family wealth blueprints; summarizes financial statements, cash flow models, and legal documents; helps to develop an understanding of planning opportunities within a comprehensive planning process; and maintains close communication with the planning team assembled for each family.

Sue began her career at KPMG where she ultimately became Partner and served in this capacity for 8 years. While at KPMG, she concentrated on tax matters for various industries—largely in the International Real Estate sector, as well as in Oil and Gas. She has substantial experience in large public partnerships, privately held partnerships, and S Corporations.

Sue is a Certified Public Accountant who received her Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University and her Bachelors of Science in Business, with a concentration in Accounting, from Indiana University.  She is a member of the AICPA and is very active in her church and within her community.  Sue has been married to her husband Bob for over 24 years and they have three children.  Sue and her family live in Hinsdale, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
