Debbie Purvis, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer, Debbie is responsible for all financial management and operational aspects of Navitas.  She provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.  She plays a key role in the development and implementation of strategic business and operational plans, projects, programs and systems.

Debbie has over 20 years of experience working in the area of family wealth management in Jackson, Mississippi. She was the Chief Financial Officer for IRBY Corp and Irby Investments, LLC for 9 years after serving as Controller for the Walker Companies for 13 years. She was instrumental in the successful sale of IRBY Corp and Stuart C. Irby Company.  Debbie served as Secretary Treasurer for the Elizabeth M. Irby Foundation and Children's Scholarship Fund Metro Jackson for which she also served as Executive Director. Debbie currently serves as Secretary for the Regions Foundation.  In addition to Debbie's accounting expertise, she has a strong background in charitable giving, office management and benefits coordination. Debbie's experience in the family office setting is especially beneficial to Navitas clients.

Debbie is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and is a Mississippi licensed Certified Public Accountant. Debbie is very active in her church where she especially enjoys choir and singing in an ensemble. Debbie has been married to her husband Schley for 29 years. They have two children Zach, 21 and Kelsey, 19, and live in Brandon, Mississippi.
