Generational Wealth

Successfully transferring wealth across generations is difficult – whether the ‘wealth’ consists of a family business, traditional financial assets, or long-held family assets.

There are two common pitfalls in wealth transfer:

  1. The wealth ‘disappearing’ before passing to the next generation (through mismanagement, unwise decisions, or living beyond one’s means).
  2. The wealth creating relational difficulties within the family – between generations, siblings, cousins, or in-laws.

At Navitas, our goal is to assist families in successfully transferring their wealth by addressing both the financial issues and its interrelated counterpart -- the family/ relational issues.

We do this by helping facilitate communication among family members, educating the family about their options and their wealth transfer plan, and putting processes in place to help keep the family together.

The result is a history of building trusting relationships across generations for numerous families.
